This page is about the website fypdance.com. The FYP Dance app has its own privacy policy.
Your choice
Visitors in Europe are asked before analytics starts. Elsewhere it is on from the first page. You can turn it on or off here at any time.
What we collect
The site uses Google Analytics 4 through Google's Firebase. It records which pages you open, in which language, how you got here (for example from a search or from TikTok), and general facts about your visit, such as the type of device, the browser and your country. It does not record your name or your email.
Why
We want to know which articles people read, in which languages, and where visitors come from. It helps us decide what to write and translate next.
What is stored in your browser
- _ga: a Google Analytics cookie that tells one visitor from another. It is kept for 2 years.
- _ga_RXR1634LBD: a Google Analytics cookie that keeps track of the current visit. It is kept for 2 years.
- Firebase records in the browser's storage: an ID of your browser and the days analytics ran on it.
- Your answer about analytics and your language choice, kept in the browser's storage until you clear it. They are never sent to us or to Google.
The Google Analytics cookies and the Firebase records are stored only while analytics is on. Browsers may delete cookies sooner: Safari, for example, removes them after 7 days without a visit.
Who receives the data
Google receives the analytics data and processes it for us, possibly in the United States. Google keeps the reports for the period set in our Google Analytics account, at most 14 months.
