Frequently Asked Questions

How do I import a video?

Import happens from your camera roll: pick the video in the system photo picker and it lands in Your Dance Studio. If the dance is on TikTok, save it to your camera roll first - the app's "Import from TikTok" guide walks you through it (Open, Share, Download) - then import it like any other video.

How do I slow down a video?

The speed comes from the Progress Matrix: every dance opens into a grid of its parts against the four practice speeds - 0.25x, 0.5x, 0.75x and 1x - and tapping a cell practices that part at that speed. You can also change the speed right in the practice player.

How do I loop a section of the video?

Create a part by trimming: drag the start and end handles over the filmstrip and save your selection. Each part becomes its own row in the Progress Matrix, named by its timestamps (like 0:07-0:14), and it loops continuously while you practice it.

How do I record myself practicing?

In the Practice Room, tap "Get Match Score". The screen splits - your front camera on one side, the original on the other. Start the take, a 3-2-1 countdown runs, and the original plays through the part while you dance. Recording stops by itself at the end of the part and takes you straight to your score. Audio is not recorded, and the recording stays inside the app - nothing is saved to your camera roll.

What is mirror mode?

Mirror mode flips the video horizontally so its left matches your left. It is a per-dance switch on the Progress Matrix screen - "Practice this dance mirrored" - and it applies to practice, recording and the score comparison for that dance.

How do I manage my subscription?

Your subscription is managed through your Apple ID. To view, change, or cancel your plan, go to Settings > your name > Subscriptions on your iPhone.
